Purpose of the position:

The Centre for Teaching and Learning urgently needs an administrator to manage the operations of the Mathematics and Statistics Centre on Mafikeng Campus. Funding was received to establish and operate a Mathematics and Statistics Centre on the Mafikeng Campus for 2019 and 2020 from the Department of Higher Education via the University Capacity Development Grant (UCDG). The Math and Stats Centre administrator will manage all the daily operations of the Centre.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS?

  • Diploma
  • Bachelor of Science Degree equivalent to NQF Level 7 is desirable

Other competency requirements:

  • Two years? teaching experience in Mathematics or Statistics is desirable
  • Bachelor of Science Degree equivalent to NQF Level 7 is desirable
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Knowledge of Mathematics and Statistical software, e.g., STAT1.3
  • Liaising, planning, organising, and scheduling competencies
  • Monitoring, evaluation and reporting competencies
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Client and team oriented competencies
  • Attention to detail, accuracy in data handling
