Our client in the manufacturing Industry has a vacancy for a NPD Assistant. The candidate will be responsible to assist the Junior NDP Manager with the timorous development of all new products for OEMs.

Main Objective:

Assist the Junior NPD Manager with all projects for After Market by ensuring that site complies with all development schedules and timeous delivery of all products to the customer.

To ensure project activities are aligned to meet the end objectives by complying with all customer and business standards and timelines thereby ensuring customer satisfaction.

To ensure that all costs are contained within the specified budget to reduce overspend and to keep losses within the set loss target to meet project requirements.

To interact with Subject Matter Experts with regards to customer product technical requirements, outcomes and expectations, to submit relevant documentation and to provide regular feedback to the Junior NPD Manager to ensure successful outcomes of the project and to avoid delays.

To identify constraints in conjunction with the Subject Matter Experts and to propose alternatives to address constraints in order to meet timing requirements.

Ensure that all tools are available for ARG Exports to reduce delays in development so as to meet customer and production timing plans.

Ensure that all parts are correctly identified and that the correct part goes to the correct customer to reduce customer complaints and to avoid SX incurring financial costs due to parts being identified incorrectly.

Ensure effective communication of relevant information to all stakeholders to support effective decision making for the business.

Qualification:

Grade 12

Understanding of measurement tools

Skills:

Microsoft Office

Attention to detail

Communication skills (verbal and written)

Numerical skills

Logical thinking for root cause analysis, problem solving and continuous improvement

Experience:

3 years in a similar role (e.g. Team Leaders, FPA, or similar role) provided experience has been obtained in relation to understanding the full production process

2 years? experience in automotive industry
