Our client in the mining industry is looking for a seasoned, self-driven and disciplined professional that is suitably qualified and experienced for the position of Human Resources Development Leader. The position is based near Burgersfort. The successful incumbent of this position will report to the Business Area Leader ? Human Resources.

The Human Resources Development Leader is responsible to manage the Human Resources Development Department and support the operational strategic goals by optimizing the HRD processes, HRD systems and procedures, legislative compliance and project management. The incumbent is responsible for the delivery of an efficient effective consultancy service to employees and role players by providing expert advice on Human Resources Development issues.

The candidate?s responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Ensure compliance with regards HRD processes
  • Ensure development, drive and implementation of relevant and appropriate HRD systems and procedures
  • Ensure all legal compliance with regards to training matters
  • Ensure compliance to the NQF standards
  • Ensure appropriate project management process are adhered to
  • Ensure efficient budget control and policy compliance
  • Ensure SHE compliance
  • Audits and corrective processes
  • Responsible for relevant benchmarking with regards to training processes and systems
  • Responsible for HR / ER functions in his section of responsibility
  • Must ensure mentorship and development processes are driven at Company level
  • Responsible for the quality assurance of the HRD function
  • Responsible for the development and roll-out of appropriate HRD strategies, plans and schedules

The Following Qualifications and Experience are essential:

  • Relevant HR / HRD Degree or NQF 6 ETDP qualification
  • Registered assessor and moderator with the relevant SETA would be advantageous
  • At least 7 years post qualification experience in HR Development of which 3 years to be at Line Management level
  • Experience working in a production environment on a mining operation will be to the applicant?s advantage.
  • Two years Management / HRD Co-ordinator experience in a mining training environment would be advantageous
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the following legislation: SDA, EEA, LRA, MHSA, OHSA.
  • Advanced computer literacy: MS Office Package and SAP
  • Valid Certificate of Fitness (Red Ticket)
  • Valid driver?s license ? Code 08

Remuneration: The package will be in accordance with the mine package schedules
