Facility/Office Manager - Johannesburg, Gauteng

Description: 

The Office/Facilites Manager will be responsible, but not limited to, to the following:

  • Setting up and managing the client-facing services
  • Setting up and managing the office services
  • Recruitment and management of the reception, secretarial and office services staff
  • Managing all 3rd party contracts related to the running of the office, including cleaning, maintenance, stationery supplies, external catering, events and function
  • Managing the relationship with the landlord and/or his agent to ensure that the building services provided such as security, mechanical and electrical services, HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) meet the needs of the firm
  • Setting up and managing health and safety arrangements and business continuity plans for the office
  • Managing and reporting on the office's environmental performance including energy management and recycling
  • Setting up initial temporary office space, including liaising with the service provider to ensure excellent client service in the interim
  • Organising a move to permanent office premises, including establishing facilities contracts with vendors for permanent office premises
  • Reviewing our longer-term office requirements to include a potential future relocation
  • Responsible for the day-to-day running of the office business
  • Working alongside internal stakeholders to achieve those aims identified as being critical to the success of the business, both in the short and longer term
  • Reporting, presenting, recommending and advising on various issues to the Business Services management teams
  • Identifying and implementing sustainable improvements in efficiency, productivity and profitability across the support groups
  • Recruiting client services and office services staff
  • Supervising client services, offices services
  • Managing the performance of these staff, including carrying out the firm's performance management and appraisal processes
  • Understanding the business service requirements of the local business and acting accordingly to make sure that these requirements are met in a timely integrated and structured way whilst keeping in line with the company's global policies, strategy and standards

The successful candidate will be a South African national with good communication and planning skills.
