We are searching for a Culinary Arts Lecturer for the International Hotel School Cape Town Campus.

The purpose of the role is to teach and share your passion for the culinary industry with eager young students; helping them grow individually, and ultimately playing a role in their career paths and success in life. This is a challenging but incredibly rewarding experience reserved for only the most incredible people.

We need a person who is patient, understanding, helpful and calm. You should have a genuine appreciation for the new generation and what they are contributing to the work place. You should have an engaging personality, be naturally supportive, instill positivity, and be mature enough to give sound advice .


  • Minimum NQF 5 qualification in the hospitality industry
  • City and Guilds Diploma in Food Prep and Cooking / Patisserie beneficial
  • CATHSSETA scoping beneficial
  • Certified to conduct outcome-based assessment ?Assessor
  • Minimum 5 years Culinary Arts experience as a chef
  • Minimum 2 years lecturing / teaching/assessor experience
  • Strong computer literacy
  • Curriculum and assessment knowledge
